WHAT IS A MOOC AND WHAT ARE THEIR BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS?

                MOOCs are open online courses that provide FREE access to educational materials. MOOCs have a number of advantages:

  • Courses are available to everyone, regardless of financial and demographic status.
  • Flexible course schedule, you can start now and study at your own pace.
  • Exchange of experience with teachers from universities in other countries.
  • Opportunity to study with leading world experts.
  • A variety of courses on modern, relevant topics.

 In Kazakhstan, the “Coursera in Kazakh” program is available, allowing our students to take courses from leading universities around the world that have been localized into the Kazakh language. Over three years of participation in the program, more than 6,000 students of our university have completed courses on the platform, and over 7,000 certificates have been earned.

In addition, for students and everyone interested, Dulati University has launched its own MOOC platform — moocs.dulaty.kz, which hosts more than 60 MOOCs across various academic fields.
